<br><br><br> <font size=3> <big><center>'''PEACE STATION:'''<br></center></big><br> <big><center>'''WILLING SLAVE TO THE SYSTEM'''</center></big> <br><br> <br><br> Mardelia system, early morning The Main planets of the Mardelia system consisted out of earth like M-class planets and several smaller rocky-type planets. The System was almost without any life; the system had several mining refineries and the small-automated outposts around, but that was all. The systems sun was just setting up, the animals awakening in the planets. All was quiet and harmonic, perhaps way too quiet. On the third planets orbit, a long, black, star ship could be seen, silently orbiting the quietness of space. On closer examination, the ship was neither a normal cruiser nor a bacterian destroyer, it was the Giftmacher. The Giftmacher, is the Fettgesicht-class heavy carrier that the Section 18 uses, officially, this thing does not exist, but unofficially it does. The Giftmacher had no bases to go, it would just be stationed somewhere around the GA colony worlds to patrol and wait for orders. G.A.S GIFTMACHER ORBITING MARDELIA SYSTEM MARDELIA SYSTEM, BETA QUADRANT The Giftmacher’s hallways were quiet, the only illumination that the halls were thin, red, lines of lights in the ceiling and the walls. At every corner, there was a guard positioned to wait. There were no clear doors, nor computers, and not even elevator shafts. A dark figure was silently walking along the hallways; it was dressed in a black Trench coat along with black gloves tightly pressed against his sides. The guards were silent, and the dark figure was also, the only matter that was unclear, was that where did this black figure go? The Figure reached the back wall of the hall, and a pressure-door seemed to open, the figure entered the door and leaped inside. Inside the pressure-door, there was an elevator that immediately hummed open and begun to move to its destination. As the Elevator reached to a stop, the figure transcended away and found itself on a more crowded hall, there seemed to be a pair of Section 18 telepathic-police unit men standing around, and the back wall housed an food-replicator and a long-call subspace communications unit. The Figure silently nodded to the pair of Telepath-police, and moved closer to a small table at the back of the room, more crowds seemed to enter this “Lounge”. “So Gareth, heard about your little adventure back in Gamos 7” a woman’s voice echoed to the black figures ears, “ It’s not every day that we get to assist a local bureau in their investigation” The figure replied. The figure was Agent Gareth Noir, a reputable associate of the Section 18, everyone knew that he was a cold man, and foremost, a sadist. A woman dressed exactly as Gareth walked to the table and sat down, her black sunglasses shielded her two eyes, but the third one was left to look straightforward. “ Umagon, my dear, you should by now be aware that the local bureaus live for our solitary assistance, the need our elite agents” “ And you handled that assignment well, congratulations on my part” The Gigerdian woman replied, with a smirk in her face. “ I now, I’m the best” Gareth replied as he always would have. The lounge bar was almost empty, and the bar’s decorations were quite small also, only a couple of chairs and tables, the replicator units and an occasional propaganda poster in the wall. The atmosphere was quiet, only a few other agents sitting by their tables, sipping drinks and discussing their operations quietly. Umagon, the Female S18 agent had been Gareth’s partner in a few cases, and so had Morfeus, another agent, so there truly were quite a lot of people that Gareth had to work with. After finishing his pondering, Gareth sat up and left for the Elevator or “Turbo-lift” that would transport him to the Ops. Deck. The Ops deck was a large one, many Section 18 Security troopers, scientists, and occasional officers were doing their assigned duties, and ignored Gareth’ s walkabout around their backs, he walked trough a pair of double doors and went inside, where a meeting was taking place. The ordinary day briefing was going on, and Gareth took his place on one of the chairs. An older Gigerdina male, dressed in a Section 18 Telepathic-police uniform begun to brief the agents in the room: “ Agents, I will be giving you the specific instructions on the next operation, it’s about the resistance”, Gareth looked silently into the view screen, and listened the briefing on: “ Agents, we have a reason to believe that there is an significant smuggling operation going on trough the Human colony world of Betazed, and all of the interrogations have pointed out that the Resistance is the one who funds these operations, for their own good”, this was one of the many lightning-strikes against the Resistance, and their allies. Gareth enjoyed these operations with ease. “ Now, we need a group of agents to infiltrate the Betazed Smuggling ring, and knock it over, and no live witnesses this time, we don’t want to alarm the human security, do we” “Gareth, you’ll lead the team to Betazed, and neutralize this enemy, you’ll leave immediately” “ Sir, shall we take a shuttle to the nearest spaceport and continue our journey trough there?” “Yes Gareth, it’s too risky to bring the Giftmacher too near the Human space, they might detect us and that would be a real mess, your squad will be waiting for you on Hangar seven” “Yes sir, understood” Gareth replied with ease, and watched the remaining information get downloaded into his implant. Gareth left for the Hangar, and was reading the report as he walked trough the halls. “ Okay, the next job will be for agents Vox and Bana, this will be standard assassination work as you may now, the governor of the Frelas system has been voicing against the Section 18 and we need him silenced…” Gareth could hear the next briefing beginning, those agents were lucky. Hangar 7 was full of Black shuttles, the ones that the stupid Colonial farmers had reported to the GA news seeing them fly over their farms, abducting people, taking people inside them and leaving. Gareth remembered one of the News Broadcast, which labelled the talks about “Black shuttles” as hoax, and lie. “If those nosy reporters would just see this hangar, they would just faint” Gareth Mused, walking to a group of Agents dressed the same way as Gareth. “ Good that you are here, we should begin the mission” Gareth started, most of these agents seemed quite professional, not the likes that he usually had to handle. “ Which one of you is Agent Smith?” asked Gareth when a man who looked good in sunglasses stepped forward. “Agent Noir, I have heard a lot about your…work” The Gigerdian replied to Gareth, it seemed that the man respected Gareth in some odd perverted way. “ So you are the one that has been following me at night” Gareth said laughing out a little, the rest of the Agents seemed horrified. “Sir, I certainly did not mean to upset you in any way” Agent Smith replied grudgingly, “ No, don’t worry, it was just a little joke that I decided to pull, to loose the tightness of this atmosphere” It literally seemed that all of the other agents gasped in relief, it was just a professional joke that Gareth pulled, thank gods. “Let’s get this show on the road” Gareth replied as the Agents walked inside the shuttle. SHUTTLE 589 LEAVING GIFTMACHER MARDELIA SYSTEM, BETA QUADRANT As the shuttle pulled out of the Hangar, the Giftmacher Cloaked back into silence, the small shuttle accelerated into space. “ For a brief moment there, I thought that we were doomed” one of the Agents silently reported, “I know” Gareth replied omni potently. “ Sir, I heard that this mission is about the Resistance’s smuggling assets”, “ That’s right, were going to destroy their supply in the human colonies” “First, We’ll journey to Conestantin Spaceport, from they’re to Betazed”, “Yes, sir” one of the agents replied. The five-hour journey to Conestantin was quiet, but the occasional jokes and stops were funny. “Approaching Conestantin” the Computer reported. The shuttle swooped down to the busy port of Conestantin in the Mecha-Bara system. SHUTTLE 589 LANDING TO CONESTANTIN MECHA-BARA SYSTEM The atmosphere was composed of Hydrogen, and the Spaceport had several compartments for different beings. The Spaceport was full of humans and aliens, robots too. The Shuttle dock was full of different spacecrafts, big, small, and cubic. The Black Section 18 shuttle was actually quite weird, and some of the visitors came in to have a look at the shuttle, Gareth drove them away, though, he wanted no live witnesses. As the Group of five Section 18 agents moved trough the halls, they spotted several gift-shops and restaurants full of people, but some of the aliens seemed to really be bothered about the “Big-brother”. The Gigerdian Security was eyeing the visitors tightly, and bothered to inform their supervisors about the current situation. “ “ It’s time to get the tickets for the space liner” Gareth replied. They stayed as a full group, no one stayed behind. “ There’s the counter” Gareth said with relief in his voice, there was a Female Bacterian in the counter. “ Good day, we’d like tickets for five, to Betazed, please,” Gareth reported stiffly. The Bacterian Female eyed the group of suits for a while, then she smiled for a while and replied: “ Yes, if I could just speak with the manager for a moment, please”, Gareth turned to see the rest of his team, standing in a swift line behind him. “She must have thought that were here to rob someone, or maybe were here to abduct her” Moments later the Woman came back, and reported firmly:” Excuse, but which state are from?” The Group looked distorted for a while, after Gareth replied: “ Well, I’m a gigerdian aren’t I?” “Yes sir, but all passengers arriving from Hephaestus have to go trough the customs first, that’s the new regulation” The woman replied, Gareth grunted: “ No way, I’m not from Hephaestus, me and my colleagues here from Section 18, GA government” The Woman looked puzzled and called in the manager, and a Human Security trooper. “ You people say that you are from the GA, who are you?” the manager asked suspiciously, Gareth reacted fast: “ I’m here to do your job, jarhead, I’m with the section 18 internal investigations” “I see, perhaps you would have some sort of papers abut your authority then?” the Security officer asked. “Yes I do,“ Gareth replied pulling out an identification card. The Card read something like: “Agent Gareth Noir, Section 18 internal investigations division and Telepath security force, Gigerdi alliance Intelligence services” “I’m sorry to bother you sir, this was just a standard inspection” the Trooper said quickly, Gareth took his card back and silently replied: “ No need to bother, those regulations and inspections are for your own protection, that’s why the government needs you to keep a good care of yourself and the civilian environment” “ Yes sir, I’ll keep that in mind” the Trooper replied, the Manager looked horrified to hear about the groups real identity, “Now, this little misinformation incident will be forgotten, right?” Agent Smith replied to the Shocked manager, he had a firm tone of authority in his voice. “ Yes of course, sir, I’m very sorry” the manager replied. “Good, now walk away and forget that this ever happened, it’s for your own protection” Smith ordered the Manager, Gareth walked to the counter, and all of the five tickets were now ready for him. “ That’s good, now let’s get to the liner” Gareth replied. LINER ROYAL READY TO BEGIN JOURNEY CONESTANTIN SPACEPORT, MECHA-BARA SYSTEM, BETA QUADRANT The liner was full of people, many different species, but mostly Humans going to their homes in Betazed. Gareth sat in the back along with Smith and another Agent named, Deron. “ What’s wrong with those Security troopers these days? All of then going nuts due to that stupid Speech in the Holo-TV a couple of months ago” Agent Deron said sitting down to the chair. “ They thought that we were Hephaestus diplomats, they would have charged us double if that would have been the case” Gareth replied, Smith nodded in approval. “Where’s the other two?” asked Deron, “ I ordered them to the second deck upstairs, if something happens I’d like to have forces in both of the decks” Gareth explained as he was taking off his Sunglasses. “So, what do we now about the Betazed smuggling ring?” asked smith, “They seem to be a highly rich foundation, and they must be the ones that have been getting the Resistance a few new toys” Gareth replied, “And that seems like a bad idea” Smith replied, “Then how do we find them, they must pretty high up in the governmental structure” Deron pointed out. “ We’d better start the mission by searching the society’s substructure, although you can’t say that we would much find something like that in Betazed” Gareth explained with sarcasm in his voice, “ The best bet is to interrogate the Transport companies and ask around, not that they would much tell anything to a bunch of Section agents” Smith replied, “But we have something far more better than them,” Gareth said. “ Yes, but Betazed is way too big to be searched by just five agents, we need more men or substantial evidence about the Smugglers to make a difference” Smith reported seriously, Gareth leaned forward to Smith and replied: “ Our infiltrators in the Betazed government tell us about the Smuggling rings possible connections to the Dema-tek company, they approve several high risk transportation trough to the farthest territories” Replied Gareth. “So, Dema-tek it is” Deron replied. BETAZED SPACEPORT, CITY OF EMPATHY BETAZED SYSTEM, ALPHA QUADRANT The City of Empathy was a sunny world, with large lakes and sandy beaches, much like Gigerdi prime actually. The Spaceport had no real security, just a few people dressed in the Federation’s uniforms standing around and looking happy, Gareth walked along the spaceport quietly. It now seemed that the Customs were applied here, as two metal detectors were just up ahead. Gareth and Smith walked trough the detector, and it did not beep. Then Deron walked trough and it didn’t beep, but when the last two agents came trough, it did. “Okay gentlemen, would you step over here please” the customs official replied normally. “ I from the Section 18, here’s the card” Agent Vent replied to the Customs officer, “Oh, I see, then that’s all right” the Customs officer nodded and glazed to the identification card, “Then you can move along” As the Group moved along the streets, they saw happy individuals walking to their work or pleasure. “ Look at those mountains” Smith reported, the gigantic mountains were truly great scenery, and there were even birds. “ Great, let’s move to the Transport terminal then” Gareth replied, It seemed that many people recognised the group as S18 agents, but hoped that they would not have anything to do with them. TRANSPORT TERMINAL, CITY OF EMPATHY BETAZED SYSTEM, ALPHA QUADRANT The Transport terminal was almost completely grey along with several small points of pale blue. As the group entered the building, there were only a couple of Betazed workers standing or sitting around the building. It seemed that they were drinking coffee and playing cards all day long. “ Hey Ed, you should probably go check on that loading bot”, “Yeah, I’ll go in a second” the man named Ed replied, Gareth walked to the table and asked: “Gentlemen, we would like to ask you a couple of questions” “Sure you can, but you’re not from Starfleet are you?” Ed asked, “No we’re not” Gareth replied, Smith and Deron walked to the either sides of the men, which played cards. Gareth was a strong telepath, despite the fact that he was an augmented and cloned Gigerdian, the Section 18 had made him funny and dangerous, this time he tried his abilities to the man named Ed. Agents Smith and Deron were quietly observing the action, it now seemed that they were both convinced about Gareth’s abilities. Ed looked stunned for a while, and then jumped up from the chair. “Ed, what’s wrong?” the other man shouted. “I don’t now, it felt like that someone was inside my mind or something” Ed explained, the other man understood the problem and quickly stood up tried to reach the nearest communications unit to call help or the police, but Smith took out his Plasma sidearm and pulled the trigger firing a ruby-coloured beam n the escaping man. “That should keep him down for awhile” Smith replied, Gareth looked to Smith and replied: “ I hope that the gun was on the stunning set” “Of course, I don’t make stupid mistakes” Smith replied, “Now, just as I said, there was a package of weapons being offloaded to a transport named the Tribe elder” Gareth explained his telepathic scans visions, and it looked good, they had located the supply of weapons. “Are you telepaths?” asked the Dockworker in amazement, “ Hmm, find out about the weapons convoy, where was it delivered” asked Smith, Gareth looked to the ceiling for awhile, he was thinking about something. “ The package was delivered to a office of the Dema-Tek Corporation” “Clear, seems like we’ll go and pay them a visit now as we have the evidence” Replied Deron, “Sir, what are we going to do with these two?” asked Smith, “ Wipe their minds, we don’t want to have the Starfleet security looking for us do we?” DEMA-TEK CORPORATION BASE, CITY OF EMPATHY BETAZED SYSTEM, ALPHA QUADRANT The Dema-Tek Corporation was a multi-racial owned Transportation Company that banded all across the galaxy. Gareth had seen the Dema-tek offices back in Gigerdi prime, Ivor pirme and the Gigerdii 2. The Company’s headquarters were situated back in Earth, so this was just one of the smaller offices along the road, but the office building was nothing but “Small”. The Corporation Office was a huge tower, with seventy-eight floors, and twelve shuttle docks, along with the entire modern conveniences. The Main hall was full of Humans, mostly, but he saw a couple of Gigerdians walking in the halls, too. The Main desk had a small computer in front of it, and a Male human attending his business, Gareth and his Men looked terribly businessmen like when they entered the room. “Hello, and welcome to Dema-Tek office of Betazed, how may I serve you?” the receptionist asked with a smile, Gareth looked at the Man for a while and replied: “We wish to meet your boss, or whatever you call it”, the receptionist looked dazed but replied anyway: “Do you have an appointment with Mr. Deluga?” “No we don’t, but this is a matter of inter-planetary security” Smith replied around Gareth’s back, “ Right trough there” the receptionist replied and pointed his finger to a personal elevator around the left side of the hall, “Thank you” Gareth replied clumsily. As the Three agents along with the other two proceeding along the stairs moved to the Boss’s office, it was long way up. As they arrived into the Office Executives room, the amazement was great. The Walls had blue and white colouring, along with several small paintings, of humans sitting around a tree. There were a couple of small Fruit trees in the floor; they were neatly placed in big jars. The Man named Deluga was sitting quietly behind his desk, he seemed peaceful, but it had nothing to do about the Eyeglasses that he was wearing. “ I’m sorry, do we have an appointment?” the man asked upon seeing the group of Agents walking in. “No you did not, we are here on Government business” Smith replied, “Hmm, what’s wrong with the Government?” Deluga asked suspiciously. “Well, we have a reason to believe that you have something to do with illegal arms smuggling” Gareth pointed straight, “I see, but why do you think that?” Deluga replied shifting in his chair, “ As I understand, you are not from Starfleet are you?” Deluga asked, “The way you look, and talk, I’d say you’re from Section 18” “ Yes that’s right, we are here to conduct an investigation of illegal arms smuggling to the resistance cells operating back in the GA territories” Gareth replied, “ And what do I have to do with anything like this?” Deluga reported clearly, “Well, we have an reason to believe that a arms shipment straight from Starfleet headquarters has been sent trough here, but it did not go to the rightful owner, but instead it came here” Deron replied. “I have no such things going on here, but you are free to investigate, “ Deluga replied, “ No need, I hope that you understand that Smuggling is a serious offence, even back here” Gareth replied. “No, I am sure that you have the wrong guy here, I don’t smuggle anything” Deluga smiled hastily, Gareth walked around him, Smith and Delos were standing in front of the table. “ What if I would inform the Starfleet security, that there is an weapons cache missing from their shipment, and that the trail points into the Dema-tek company” Gareth continued his allegations with ease. “ Well, first of all, you have no real evidence on that fact, and secondly, you have no jurisdiction over here” “You think that this is about jurisdiction, do you?” Gareth replied with an ice tone of voice, “ If you start making trouble, I’ll call the guards, now get out” Deluca ordered, he seemed offended by something, it was either Gareth’s tone of voice or that Mr. Deluga was indeed lying. “ That’s not very wise, is it Mr. Deluga? You know that if those rumours are true, your job here is finished, think about your family” Gareth replied. “ Are you threatening me?” Deluga replied clearly, “No, not at all, I’m just pointing out the facts” Gareth looked to Smith and returned his gaze back to Deluga. “ Look, I don’t know who you are, but I don’t take kindly to people that burst into my office and accuse me of things I have never heard about”, “Okay then, I guess that we’ll go talk to the Starfleet security then” Smith pressured the man, and looked that Deluga was not an easy catch. “ Yes, you go ahead and I’ll sue you for harassment” Deluga was sure of his position, but Gareth decided to pull up the wildcards. “ Mr. Deluga, let me be straight for you, as you may know, the GA stands for peaceful and harmonic coexistence with everybody else, and some people believe that there’s something wrong with GA government, they want to change this fact, but, not all are interested to change themselves, and the least of all my associates, this is when Resistance and rebellion bursts open” “What’s your point?” Deluga replied, “Well, we stand as the order and justice to the people, we are here to weed the terrorists out and return the GA into it’s normal status, and you stand in our way right now, so we wish to make an offer that we hope you will not turn down on” “Yes, you can either help us or be against us, which I don’t wish you to be” Smith continued, “No, I don’t know what are you talking about!” Deluga shouted in anger, Gareth looked calm and simply replied:” well in that case, we have no other options than to take this matter to the Starfleet, goodbye” Gareth replied. “You do that, and I’ll sue” Deluga said as Gareth turned around and started to walk to the door, the rest of the Agents followed. “ We hope that you can understand us some other time” Gareth replied to the angered Deluga and left. Deluga rubbed his forehead for a while and sighed, “What a day” he thought. He sat up and took a long, and deep breath, then he walked to his communication unit and tapped in a number, a male voice answered: “What Is it, Deluga?” “ There were a group of men here, dressed in black coats, they were Gigerdians, seemed like S18” Deluga sighed in relief, “What did they want?” the Voice asked, “Somehow they know about our little smuggling operation, and are going to talk to the authorities”, the voice went silent for a while, then it replied: “ Did they threaten you?” “Yeah, they threatened my family”. “ Listen, we’ll deal with them now, just try to stall them for awhile” DEMA-TEK CORPORATION BASE, CITY OF EMPATHY BETAZED SYSTEM, ALPHA QUADRANT ”He’ll talk, eventually,” Gareth said while the Group was standing out side the corporate office, Smith looked serious. “ Hmm, we should question his relatives” Smith proposed, Gareth replied. “ Good, you’ll head to Deluga’s home and I’ll go and talk to the Starfleet security” DELUGA’S APARTMENT, CITY OF EMPATHY BETAZED SYSTEM, ALPHA QUADRANT Deluga had children. All of them obtained telepathic abilities and were studying back in the system’s best colleges. The Apartment looked like a Villa, so the actually it looked like a fine mansion. Smith walked into the courtyard, there was a middle-aged woman sitting behind a small table, she was sipping down Tea. “ Good day” Smith replied, scaring the Woman. “You scared me, who are you?” the woman asked kindly, “ I’m Agent Smith from the Section 18, I’d like to ask a few questions” “What does these questions concern?” the woman asked with interest, Smith coughed and replied: “ The owner of this house, Mr. Deluga” “ I’m his Wife, can I help you?” the Woman asked with interest, Smith walked closer to the woman. “ Yes, I believe you could, is your husband a smuggler?” Smith asked strictly, “ Hmm, I don’t think so” the Woman asked. “ You are sure?” Smith asked, “Positive” the Woman replied. “ Look Mrs. Deluga , Assisting a felony is a dire crime, you would not like to spend time on prisons?” “ Please, I don’t know anything” the Woman asked sobbing, Smith looked serious. “ Now, tell me everything you now about your husbands Activities, or I’ll go to the police” “ I don’t know anything, please don’t hurt me” She begged, it seemed that Smith’s arrival had completely ambushed the Woman, leaving her very little to consider any plans. “ Oh, there is no need to hurt you, I believe that your time spend in the prison will break your mind sooner or later” Smith concluded. “ You now that your Husband is a criminal, what he does is wrong, you do want to be completely honest, don’t you?” Smith begun to persuade the Woman to talk, She had a weak mind, “ Threatening should do the trick” Smith thought. It took some time for the Woman to speak again; Smith sat down on the chair in front of the woman and watched the clear and beautiful weather for a while; he completely ignored the sobbing and frightened woman in front of him. “ Look, you just can’t do this, I’m a human!” “ Yeah, Good point indeed…” Smith replied sarcastically, “ Your Husband has stepped into the toes of some very powerful people, and now he has to make up for his lack of respect” “ For your own good, I’d suggest that you keep your mouth shut” Smith explained with his usual S18 style of speaking, “ Now, it would be good to hear everything you know about your husbands activities” The Woman Nodded in an odd sense of respect, “ Now, was there a crate of Human weapons transported into this house or have you heard anything about any Weapons deals” Smith asked with calmness in his voice. “ Hmm, I heard my husband speaking with another man, they talked about a bar named “ Neon Moon”, maybe that’s where the weapons are at” the woman explained quickly, Smith rubbed his chin, and quietly asked: “ Who talked anything about any weapons?” The Woman’s Cover was blown, it seemed clear for now. “ I thought you meant weapons, that’s usually what my Husband deals…. You know, in the black market” “ Perhaps you could give me the address of this “Neon Moon” bar?,” Smith asked. “ Check the public database, there should be everything that you need” the Woman replied oddly. “Thank you for your time, Mrs. Deluga” Smith sat up and walked out of the Courtyard. As he reached the street entrance, he took out his Communicator and touched it in order to activate it. “ Smith here, I’ve questioned the Wife” “And?” “ We got a lead to a bar named Neon Moon, could be trouble” Smith replied silently, the Betazed citizens were silently walking by, not even bothering to look to Agent Smith. “ Good, I talked with the Human security, they promised to start an investigation on Deluga’s company, but we’ll meet back in this Neon Moon Bar, Gareth Out” “Yes sir” BAR NEON MOON, CITY OF EMPATHY BETAZED SYSTEM, ALPHA QUADRANT The Bar wasn’t looking peculiar, nor there were any guards outside. It was just another standard building standing in the city streets, slightly smaller, though. There were people coming and going, Gareth Stepped away from the sidewalk and walked across the street, Where Smith was waiting. “Typical, all of the smugglers hang out of Bars” Gareth grunted, “ Seems so, I sent the others to wait outside Deluga’s apartment” “ Good, Let’s go in” , Gareth replied quickly and the two agents walked to the Bar entrance. The Entrance was quiet, with no drunken aliens hanging around and begging for money. “ Seems like a nice place” smith looked around and reported. The Bar was full of people; mostly humans and some other Aliens, there were odd music being played by a live band. “ Start asking around, see if anyone of these might be interested to sell weapons to us” Gareth ordered and disappeared to the crowd. Smith Looked around and walked to a table, just a couple of humans sitting down comfortably, chatting out the day. “ Not the type I’m looking for” Smith replied to himself. Gareth Walked to the Bar-Table and begun to search for a bartender, it seemed that this one housed Android Bartenders and waiters. “ Excuse me, sir?” Gareth heard a male voice, “ Yes?” Gareth replied and turned around. “ Can I interest you on some fine piece of Hardware?” the man asked, he looked like an ordinary citizen, “What sort of Hardware?” Gareth replied. “ Well, you just have to see it yourself” the man said. “ Okay, I want to see it, the man motioned Gareth to follow him to a room behind the bar. The room was dimly lit; only a box of some sort was lying in the table. “ These things were extremely hard to smuggle in, so I need to charge a little extra” the man explained while walking behind the table. “ What exactly are you selling here?” Gareth asked. “ Well, I deal in all sorts of Alcoholic beverages and small items that can be smuggled past customs” the man smiled evilly, and explained his dealings. “ Have you got anything with a bit of punch?” Gareth asked, sounding interested. “ Hmm, I have some Xendar-Whisky, for 250” The man replied, “ I’m talking about guns” Gareth replied. “Guns, those things are extremely hard to smuggle, and I can only offer you some small pistols” the man replied quickly. “ Perhaps you could guide me to another salesman, who has heavier hardware?” “ No, I don’t think so. The people who deal with the bigger guns have their own triads, and I only get my guns trough dealers, the big boys tend to work alone” the man replied. Gareth leaned forward a bit, and pulled a tranquilliser from his coat pocket. “ So, like I said, I only sell alcohol, want to buy or not?” the man asked. Gareth walked to the table, where the beverages were laid out, and he looked them for a while after he pulled out the tranquilliser dart and threw it right into the Man’s left hand, the man gasped and fainted into the ground. “ So, like I said, want to die or not?” Gareth mused to himself. Gareth walked back to the bar and spotted Smith standing by the counter, “ Sir, have you got any leads?” Smith asked. “ Yes, I think so, the body is waiting in the back room, signal the others to do a pickup” Gareth replied. LOCAL HOTEL, CITY OF EMPATHY BETAZED SYSTEM, ALPHA QUADRANT Gareth and Smith had moved the merchant’s body out of the bar and into a hotel. The Merchant was lying in an operating table, motionless with a look of surprise in his face. “ Damn, the equipment is really primitive” Gareth murmured while he injected the man with something, Smith was standing in front of the man. “ What is that?” “It’s called Battle-pheromones” Gareth replied and pulled the injection needle out of the man, “ when injected to a person, he loses his memory and becomes controllable by us, we can infiltrate him to the organization, I guess we could call it a side-personality” Gareth replied and threw the needle to the table, Smith looked at the motionless body, and examined it with his eyes. “ So, what happened to his original personality?” Smith asked. “ Oh, it’s still there, but in a comatose-state, it activates when we need it to” Gareth explained, “ Those damn pesky scientists thought this up during the IPA war, quite the plan indeed” Gareth walked to the smaller table and took a small pad from it. “ Now I’ll program the man to act as he would do normally, but when he finds our target, he’ll double cross them” “Good, be sure to include the brain self-destruction sequence, we don’t want him to stay aware of our plans” Smith mentioned, “Of course” Gareth replied. “Time to let him loose” CAFÉ OF SYMMETRY BETAZED SYSTEM, ALPHA QUADRANT The bar was full of people, all of them minding their own business. The cafes light blue walls covered parts of the back and front walls inside, while the café was completely grey outside. Four humans walked inside the café, they didn’t seem suspicious, at all. Deluga sat on one of the benches, he had small a box with him. “ I see you are early” Deluga started when the men walked to his table, “Well, the appearance of the Section 18 has made us suspicious” one of the men replied. “Well, here is all of the transfer logs that you needed to be able to lead them off the track” Deluga replied giving one of the men the box. The First man, obviously the leader looked at the box, the opened it and put into the table, “Good, you have not failed us, I will warn you though” The man replied. “About what, them?” Deluga said looking nervous. “Yes, they might question your relatives and co workers” “If they put the Starfleet security on us, they’ll never find the evidence to prosecute me of smuggling” Deluga replied. “I’m not afraid of them at all,” Deluga agreed to himself. “Brave words, you should stay in your home, there we can be sure about your security” The man replied, “Of course, but I’ll return to the company, for now” Deluga nodded and stood up, he left the bar. “Right, We should get these tapes destroyed, never know who you might find hunting for these ones”. LOCAL HOTEL, CITY OF EMPATHY BETAZED SYSTEM, ALPHA QUADRANT Gareth and Smith sat around the table. “If our mole can get any information, the other agents should inform us”, “Good, but we should try to put some muscle on this Deluga-guy” Smith replied on Gareths report. “ I’m tired of this waiting, we should pull the plug on him” Smith suggested anxiously. “We’ll hit him when its time” Gareth said with his cool voice. DEMA-TEK CORPORATION BASE, CITY OF EMPATHY BETAZED SYSTEM, ALPHA QUADRANT Deluga sat on his chair, once again. Reading a document about a possible downfall in the company’s repair division, the doorbell chimed. “Hmm, Come in” he said. The door opened, and in walked the “Ordinary citizen” that Gareth had “Wired”. Deluga looked to the door for a moment, and then returned his gaze to the approaching man. “Well, Devons, haven’t seen you here for a while” Deluga said. “Yeah well, I need your help” the man replied. “Hmm, another loan?” Deluga sighed uncomfortably. “ No, this gig will pay back my dues for you, for good” the man sounded sincere, “What’s this all about?” Deluga asked. “Well, this businessman walked in the other day, he offered me a good deal on some high priced hardware”. “Really, what kind of stuff?” Deluga asked, “Well, Gigerdian grade Infantry weapons, plasma rifles, beam guns, pulse grenades….” .The man begun to tell about all the weapons that he remembered from the information that the Agents had downloaded on his brain. “Sounds good to me, where are they?” Deluga asked nervously. “I’ve placed them near a cargo area in the Spaceport” the Ordinary citizen replied, “Good, perhaps you’ll show me the way into the cargo area” Deluga replied. “Mr Deluga, I was hoping if you could come along with your trade partners” the man asked, Deluga seemed to ponder this for a while, and he replied: “Well, perhaps I could show those things to my partners….” LOCAL HOTEL, CITY OF EMPATHY BETAZED SYSTEM, ALPHA QUADRANT ”Sir, the mole informs us that he has set up a meeting to Cargo area 7 with Mr. Deluga and his partners” one of the other agents informed Gareth, “Good, we’ll get him at last” Smith replied, “Very well, Smith and the rest will go to the cargo area, set up a ambush”, the agents seemed to agree on Gareth’s plan. Gareth decided to follow Deluga and his “Associates” to the cargo area. As Gareth exited the Hotel, he took a hover bus to Deluga’s company headquarters. He waited the group to arrive soon, as a private shuttle landed in the Buildings roof. A group of five people went to the shuttle, and left [[Category:Obsolete works]]
