It started like any other night ... My pockets were just like my soul; littered with garbage and last week's shopping lists. Heavy with the echoes of yesteryear, resounding uselessly in the abyss. I knew it was time to find a trash can and throw it all away, but I couldn't find one.

Perhaps it was avoiding me on purpose. Perhaps it didn't want to be found. Perhaps it had something to hide. In this town, everyone did.
