Introduction
This is a mod based on the Peace Station universe. The purpose of this is to create a mod for the SE IV, which would resemble the Peace Station universe, still there are some things that never could be done, like the FTL drives, so you have to use warp points, even that none of those exist in the PS universe. Some names, like Päähemmo, can't use Ä or Ö letters in SE IV.
Some of the technologies, facilities and other things may not be completely canon, so there might be several mistakes and other things, however, if you happen to notice that kind of thing you're free to inform me about it or suggest something else. Breathing mixtures and homeworld-types are also non-canon to create more diversity.
Before playing it is advisable to browse the Peace Station Encyclopedia to better understand the universe, as some races might have technologies or even designs.
Installation
First you need to have SE IV Gold v. 1.91 or higher installed, Deluxe works well too.
Simply unzip all the data to SE IV directory, example:
C:\Program Files\Strategy First\Malfador\Space Empires IV Deluxe\
It will create a sub-directory; Peace Station Mod. To uninstall just delete the Peace Station Mod folder.
Now there are two ways to run the mod then. If you have the SE IV mod launcher program it should be as easy as just to select it from the mod menu and then run it, if the mod doesn't show up there use the "Add Directory" feature, type the Peace Station Mod's directory to the mod path.
The other way to run the mod, is the modify the Path.txt file in the SE IV directory. You need to put the PS Mod Pack's directory to the "Using Mod Directory", so it should be: Using Mod Directory := Peace Station Mod
There is also a third way to run it and install it, however it's not recommended. If you install the mod over the original SE IV you only need to start the Se4.exe to run the mod. Still this way is NOT recommended.

New technologies, races and other things
New tech
Many new technologies have been added and some completely new technology areas have also been added, some modifications to the racial traits, quadrant types, planets, cultures and to other things have also been made. Here's the changes to the research:
Colonization
Universal colony added, gained after researching all 3 different colonizations.
Base Construction
Outpost(unique appearance) and defense station added. 5 tech levels total.
Ship Construction
Several new ship classes have been added and three of the biggest ship's sizes have been modified to be larger.
Added ship classes are:
Exploration ship, requires ship construction 1 and either UCP, IPA, Folan, Hemmoian or Gigerdian tech 1. This ship can move faster than the escort.
Corvette, requires ship construction 2 and is larger than escort, but smaller than frigate. Has unique appearance.
Light destroyer, requires ship construction 4 and is larger than frigate, but smaller than destroyer. Has unique appearance.
Heavy destroyer, requires ship construction 7 and is larger than light cruiser, but smaller than cruiser. Has unique appearance.
Fast scout, requires ship construction 8, is the same size as light cruiser, but much faster. Has defensive bonus and unique appearance.
Heavy cruiser, requires ship construction 9, is larger than cruiser, but smaller than battle cruiser. Has unique appearance.
Command cruiser, requires ship construction 11, is larger than battle cruiser, but smaller than battleship. Uses battle cruiser appearance, but provides 8% combat bonus to the system.
Juggernought, requires ship construction 14, is larger than dreadnought, but smaller than baseship. Has unique appearance.
Fighters
One new fighter type has been added, one new fighter engine as well, several bombers have been added.
Added fighters/bombers:
Scout fighter, requires construction 1, is smaller than small fighter, but harder to hit. Uses small fighter appearance.
Small bomber, requires fighters 1, is larger than small fighter, but slower and easier to hit. Has unique appearance.
Medium bomber, requires fighters 2, larger than medium fighter. Same appearance as small bomber.
Large bomber, requires fighters 3, larger than large fighter. Unique appearance.
Advanced fighter, requires fighters 4, larger than large fighter. Same appearance as small bomber.
Advanced bomber, requires fighters 4, larger than large bomber. Same appearance as large bomber.
Troops
One new troop size has been added. Heavy troop, unique appearance and requires troops 4.
Weapon Platforms
One new weapon platform size has been added. Massive, requires weapon platforms 4.
Satellites
Added larger, but more expensive satellites as defense platforms. Use weapon platform appearance.
Space Yards
Space Yard IV has been added to both planets and ships.
Repair
Engineering added.
Resupply
Changed the name of the Quantum Reactor to Antimatter reactor.
Propulsion
One new engine class has been added; three new tech levels. Engine levels II and III now provide more supply.
Armor
Two new armor types have been added; Semi-organic armor and Improved Armor.
Shields
One new shield generator has been added, shield bases have been added.
Massive shield generator added, shields 11.
Combat Support
New Multiplex Trackings have been added
Advanced Sensors
New tech area.
Provides Anti - Proton Sensors and Advanced Sensors.
Anti - Proton sensors can detect Folan and Bacterian cloaking devices.
Advanced sensors contain long range scanners, ECM, combat sensors, scanner jammer and Multiplex tracking.
Applied Political Science
One new tech level has been added; one new facility.
Holo-facility, increases happiness by 4%.
Sabotage and Espionage
Grants access to sabotage and espionage activities respectively. AI only researches sabotage on low and medium tech settings.
Advanced Biology
Grants access to cloning facility(increases population in millions), medical center(prevents plagues up to 4) and gestation vats(reproduction percentage modifier).
Planet Utilization
Terraforming center available at level 10. Contains atmospheric mod. plant, value imp. plant and conditions imp. plant.
Advanced Military Science
Military control center added, provides combat bonus.
Energy Stream Weapons
Names changed. Now Disruptors. Also changed their range and damage so that they should be useful in the latter parts of the game too.
Energy Pulse Weapons
Names changed, minor enhancements.
Missile Weapons
Two new missile types has been added, more fighter missiles added.
Fusion missiles, slower, but more powerful and has longer range than cap ship missile.
Anti-fighter missiles are direct fire missiles that can also target fighters.
Torpedo Weapons
One new torpedo type has been added, every torpedo now has small version for fighters.
Energy torpedo added.
High-Energy Discharge Weapons
It has been modified a lot, names are still same, but the results are different.
Incinerator beams can now be fired every turn and ranks 5 and 6 skip normal shields. Has fighter versions too. Later levels are relatively unchanged.
Particle Disruptor Weapons
In SE IV they were phased-energy weapons. Should be useful in the endgame too.
Smaller Weapons
Now you can get a lot more fighter and troop weapons.
Drones
One new drone size has been added.
Telepathic Studies
New tech level, opens the Telepathic technology and Telepathic weapons, tech areas.
Telepathic Technology
New tech level.
Telepathic receptors, telepathic countermeasures, telepathic scanners and sensors are obtained from this tech level.
Telepathic Weapons
In SE IV they were psychic weapons.
Applied Research and Intelligence
Added science lab and spy lab for ships and bases. Now you can generate research and intelligence points with vehicles.
Plasma Weapons
New tech level. Contains 5 levels of plasma beams.
Some other changes too.

Research bases, system- and planet-wide research bonus, and point generation.
Section 18 base, system- and planet-wide intelligence bonus and point generation.
Terraforming center, increases value and conditions system-wide and changed atmosphere.
UCP tech:
Council representative, improves happiness by 5%
Military base, improves happiness by 4%, trains fleets and provides combat bonus.
Military academy, trains fleets and ships.
Research bases, system- and planet-wide research bonus, and point generation.
Mineral scanner and hydroponic farm, system- and planet-wide mineral and organics bonus.
Utopia planitia shipyard, faster space yard production.
Temporal research, research bonus, reduces bad events and adds combat bonus.
Hemmoian tech:
Government center, improves happines by 5%
Military base, improves happines by 4%, trains fleets and provides combat bonus.
Military academy, trains fleets and ships.
Restructuring planet, reduces ship maintenance by 25% in the system.
System scanner, can scan any ship in the system.
Cloning center, increases population by 45M each turn.
Folan tech:
Senate representative, improves happiness by 5%
Military base, improves happiness by 4%, trains fleets and provides combat bonus.
Military academy, trains fleets and ships.
Research bases, system- and planet-wide research bonus, and point generation.
Shen'tlar base, system- and planet-wide intelligence bonus and point generation.
Cloning center, increases population by 40M each turn.
Improved cloaking device.
IPA tech:
Council representative, improves happiness by 6%
Multi-factory, system- and planet-wide mineral, organics and radioactives bonus.
Military academy, trains fleets and ships.
Research bases, system- and planet-wide research bonus, and point generation.
Reproduction enhancer, reproduction improved by 5% in the system.
Cloning center, increases population by 40M each turn.

Organic tech and improved cloaking device.

New cultures: They should be more balanced now.
New Events: More events now. New events made by Dracus.
New System Types, Sector Types and Quadrant Types. From Fyron's Quadrant Mod Deluxe.
Trade percent is now maximum of 40%, which should make trade more worthwhile.
Colonial defense infantries now come with lesser population.
Emergency build is 15 turns. Max retrofit cost difference is 90%.
Several new mounts, like point-defense mount, seeker mount, engine mount.
